Tuesday’s NBA Fantasy Basketball Betting Roster Picks
Monday, February 18th, 2008Tuesday February 19, 2008Forward is the weak position today. There are 6 elites going but only 2 second tier forwards. Guard position has 7 elites and 8 Second tiers going. Center has 6 elites and one Tier Two.
Today’s strategy builds around the Forward position and uses the Studs and Duds strategy approach (see the Articles section if you aren’t familiar with this strategy). However, today we are able to improve on the regular Studs and Duds approach in that we can fit 6 studs and 1 dud on our 7 man 210 point roster.
My Dud for the day is Hakim Warrick and all my bets are keyed on him. He had two great games before the break and I expect that now that Gasol is out of town that Memphis might be giving Warrick an audition for a starting job. He is near minimum salary at $11. Put him at Forward.
Put Boozer at forward for $36 and Artest at the other forward for $31. Boozer should have a monster game against a high scoring GSW opponent with a really soft defense. Artest has been improving and should earn his $31.
At Guard I’m going with Iguodala at $32, Pierce at $31 and Deron Williams at $31. I think Deron will have a big game trying to keep up with the high scoring Warriors. Hopefully Garnett remains out and Pierce continues his tear.
Put Ming at Center for $35. He should be able to put up good numbers against Gooden and Ilgauskas.
