Great Perfomances, but no money.

What a weird and aggravating night.  Tuesday we put up 232 points and won both tournaments, but last night we put up 280 points and finished 5 points from the money in one tourney and 14 from the money in the other.  Our team put up a nice 280 points, but some big nights by Kobe, Chris Paul, Bosh and D. Howard put some teams near the 300 point mark.  Iguodala had (29), Pierce (33), Redd (33), Artest (43), Warrick (27), James (58) and Stoudemire (57).   The move benching Carter cost us a win in one tourney and a money finish in the other.  Carter put up 50 Fantasy points, while Redd put up 33. The 17 would have put us in first place in one tourney and second in the other.  Oh well, with the rumors swirling around Carter, we just couldn’t risk the DNP that might come with an impending trade.   The other factor that hurt was Philadelphia’s blowout of NYK.  Iguodala was having a nice night, but with a 46 point third quarter lead, Iguodala was sent to the bench and never returned.

But just like baseball, there is no crying in basketball either.  Today is a new day and we will be back at lunchtime with tonight’s picks and Thursday’s draft board.  There are only 3 NBA games tonight, so roster choices will be pretty thin.  On  nights with just 2 or 3 games, most contest rosters are pretty similar, so it is really tough to find that little piece of the puzzle that will win a tournament.
