We are playing 2 ten team tournaments today with our Fantasy Basketball Tournament Roster. The structure is a 7 player, 200 point cap on FSL.
As many good gamblers know, sometimes the best bet on certain days is no bet. Today is one of those days. The talent is thin and what little talent there is out there is either hurting or extremely inconsistent. That makes days like today pretty much a crapshoot without any real positive expectation or edge. But I’ll forge on because that is why you are here.
At center, spend the money and go with A. Stoudemire ($36). There just aren’t any other options.
Put LeBron James ($48) at forward. On a thin day you just can’t leave him off your roster. If he goes off like he did last night and he isn’t on your roster, no matter what other players you pick, you can’t win. Andersen Varejao ($19) gets a forward spot. He is filling in for Ilgauskas and gets at least 30 minutes. We need the salary cap to be able to start LeBron and Stoudemire. Ron Artest ($32) gets a forward spot. I do not like Artest today, but the choice was between him and LaMarcus Aldridge. A subpar Artest game is probably equal to a good Aldridge game.
At guard I’m going with Delonte West ($13). Strictly cheap roster filler to get LeBron and Stoudemire on the team. I expect absolutely nothing out of West tonight, so any points will be a bonus. Brandon Roy ($31) gets a guard spot. This was a tough decision between Roy and Nash. I love Nash’s matchup, but Roy is the focus for Portland and will get his stats. I don’t think you could really go wrong with either. The last guard spot goes to Beno Udrih ($21). Another salary cap cheapie just to get the two big guns on the team. Maybe we get lucky with Udrih, who knows.
Good luck. Remember to sign up for the FSH Fantasy baseball league over on the Fantasy Forum message boards in the fantasy baseball thread. Baseball season is quickly approaching.
